Linebackers

This is the most inexperienced unit on the entire team by far. The scary part is the unit wasn’t very good last season with two seniors, one being a former five-star recruit.

This is the area of the defense that opposing offenses will look to target with putting players in space.

They’ll also run right at them as FSU linebackers have lacked physicality in years past and appear to be undersized a bit while struggling to shed blockers.

Dontavious Jackson has shown flashes of his ability at times and could turn out to be a competent player in 2018, but there’s just a ton of unknowns.

If he isn’t able to play for whatever reason the Noles would see a significant downgrade at that position.

The good thing is there should be an upgrade in coaching with Raymond Woodie supplanting Bill Miller.

Players like DeCalon Brooks and Jaiden Woodbey are young but could prove to be players as the season goes on and they gain experience.
