Depth

Although the team returns starters on both sides of the ball, there are still a few areas where depth is a concern.

Linebackers-The Noles have Dontavious Jackson with 37 career tackles as its most experienced linebacker. Not only are they thin with experience, they’re thin with sheer numbers and why Zaquandre White made the move to linebacker when Amari Gainer went down with a foot injury.

Offensive line-The offensive line starting five is legit and will likely be an improvement over last year, but if one or two injuries happen it could get ugly.

Tight Ends-The Noles lost all of their starting experience at tight end with Ryan Izzo left for the NFL and Mavin Saunders transferred. Tre McKitty will likely be the starter and has one career reception.

Wide ReceiversThe ‘Noles have Nyqwan Murray, Keith Gavin and D.J. Matthews who will be the most experienced receivers on the team.

They have a wealth of unproven talent behind them like Tamorrion Terry, George Campbell, and a slew of true freshman who could be called upon for playing time.

Safety-FSU lost starters Derwin James and Trey Marshall to the NFL. They also lost reserves Nate Andrews and Ermon Lane as they exhausted their eligibility. There’s unproven talent ready to step in and prove themselves, but experience will be at a premium.
