Special Teams Improved Over 2017

I’m going to say special teams will be improved on last year for a couple of reasons. Logan Tyler has gotten better each year with punting and Ricky Aguayo should remain solid but probably with less field goal attempts.

The biggest improvement expected is in the punt return game with D.J. Matthews. We finally saw him back there after calling for him to replace Tarvarus McFadden all last season and the difference was night and day.

He’s a threat to make a game changing play every time which will add a dynamic the Noles haven’t seen since Greg Reid in 2011.

This facet alone is enough to upgrade this unit as it’s routinely been near the absolute bottom in special team rankings the past half decade.

Kick return should be fine with a slew of blue chip athletes to choose from to fill those spots.
