Defensive Line Neutral Compared To 2017

This defensive line is arguably a top five unit in the nation, but I’m going to surprise you and say it’s neutral to 2017.

Replacing a duo of Derrick Nnadi and DeMarcus Christmas with Josh Sweat coming off the edge is no easy task. Luckily, Christmas decided to return for his senior season and get his college degree.

Former five-star Marvin Wilson will be counted on heavily in his sophomore season and the Noles have excellent depth in the middle.

However, outside of Brian Burns the Noles are a bit unproven on the edge although there’s nothing but blue chip talent out there.

Former five-star defensive end Joshua Kaindoh could have a breakout season and Janarius Robinson will get plenty of snaps too.

The 2017 unit was arguably one of the best in the nation, but were often left with their hands on their hips because the secondary would give up a 18 yard pass on third and 17.

However, things should improve there but I’m going to say this unit is neutral compared to last season because losing Nnadi and Sweat is big.
