Kansas Jayhawks

Some FSU basketball fans might not remember that these two teams actually played for a postseason championship 21 years ago – in the NIT final inside Madison Square Garden, with the Jayhawks coming out on top. Getting a chance to play one of the sport’s blue bloods would be big for the Seminoles – especially getting one of the games to be played in Tallahassee.

Texas Longhorns

While these two football schools have never met on the gridiron, their basketball battles have also been limited to just a two game series dating back almost half a century – when the Seminoles swept both games of a home-and-home slate. The Longhorns are just good enough to look good on the resume but to good enough that the Noles should be overly worried about losing the game.

West Virginia Mountaineers

In their history, FSU basketball has played the men from Morgantown a total of four times – with just one of the coming in the last 60 seasons (also being the only win for the Seminoles out of the games played). Head coach Bob Huggins has the team playing back like they used to be decades ago, so this is another one that would look real good to the committee.
