FSU football camps got underway this weekend and had several players attend in hopes of gaining a FSU offer and improving their technique.

FSU football hosted the first of several summer camps for high school players this past weekend. This camp highlights linebackers, running backs and specialists.

The camp on June 15th-16th will highlight the “big men” and 7-on-7.

These camps are a bit different from the way the old regime ran them as there are fewer players attending.

The hope is smaller numbers can help with more individualized attention which leads to quicker relationship bonds.

It also means the coaches have more time to concentrate on getting the players they want on campus to visit and workout during camp.

Despite being geared to running backs and linebackers, the camp also saw some talented quarterbacks and other recruiting targets take time to visit Tallahassee.

Here are some of the reactions to the players that visited camp:

Thoughts

This was a sampling of the players that came to camp and there were some high-profile players that visited as well.

It sounds like the players and high school coaches that attended have come away impressed with the instruction and vibe of the camp.

2019 Four-star defensive tackle Tyler Davis was there as was 2019 four-star linebacker Trezman Marshall (UGA commit) who’s been at FSU football a ton recently.

You know what we say, follow the visits in college football recruiting.

Also, 2019 four-star linebacker Kalen DeLoach was there and 2019 four-star safety Brendan Gant. 2020 QB Anthony Richardson attended camp and came away impressed as well.
