Former FSU football standout wide receiver Rashad Greene is looking to reinsert himself into the Jacksonville Jaguars lineup after missing all of 2017 with injuries.

Rashad Greene is arguably the best wide receiver FSU has produced in the last decade, yet seems to be a forgotten man since the 2014 season.

Greene was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He’s played in 17 total games and battled injuries each year.

His slight build was a reason for concern among teams looking to draft him, and it looks like they were right on the money with that scouting report.

However, Greene seemed to have found a home with Jaguars on special teams as their punt returner in 2015-16. He had 39 returns for 432 yards (11.1 yards per return average) and one return for a touchdown before going down with an achilles injury in late 2016.

Greene hasn’t seen the field since being placed on injured reserve prior to the 2017 season.

However, it looks like he’s impressing at Jacksonville Jaguars OTA’s.

The Key To It All

Thoughts

It’s great to see Rashad Greene healthy and making an impact. Truthfully, he could have an outstanding performance and still not make the team because of how crowded it is at wide receiver for the Jaguars.

If he does perform at a high level that should open up opportunities for other teams to come calling.

He’ entering the final year of his rookie contract and is set to make a base salary of $705,000 in 2018.

Here’s to hoping Greene can stay healthy with a shot to make the team or earn an opportunity elsewhere.
