FSU football already received some favorable news regarding Virginia Tech’s lineup in their opener on September 3rd.

A few days ago we discussed how FSU football might benefit from the number of players Virginia Tech has lost to its defense since last year.

It has always be a staple of that program since Bud Foster has been defensive coordinator there.

However, he faces a tall challenge of replacing several NFL Draft picks and losing others to injury.

It now seems like Virginia Tech has a huge challenge where they could be without their starting quarterback at least in the first game against FSU.

According to a report by Richmond.com, Jackson’s father is saying more information will be available in two days.

"“As of right now, Josh is still a member of the Virginia Tech football team,” Fred Jackson said Thursday by phone. “We’ll know more in two days. It’s too early to talk about this.”"

 Thoughts

As you can see, Hokie fans scared and FSU fans rubbing their hands together like a guy getting ready to eat a juicy steak.

This would be a serious blow for the Hokies and FSU fans can relate because they had to experience a season with an inexperienced quarterback in 2017.

Not to mention the losses they’ll have on defense. Jackson has been ranked as a quarterback in the upper half of the ACC going into 2018, but he’s not an elite quarterback.

However, imagine if Virginia Tech had to send a young inexperienced QB to Tallahassee to make his first career start against a defense that should be quite good?

The Noles are already near a touchdown favorite against the Hokies, but that line could creep higher should Jackson remain suspended going into the season.
