FSU baseball has done itself a huge favor in earning the No. 7 national seed on the Road to Omaha.
FSU baseball finished its regular season strong, winning 11 of its final 12 games including wins over NC State, Clemson and Louisville to win the ACC Baseball Championships.
Those wins coupled with one of the toughest schedules in the country have earned FSU the No. 7 national seed.
This means the Noles will host the regional and super regionals on the way to the college world series.
That’s huge as FSU was 30-7 at home on the season.

Of course the Noles made it to the College World Series last season for the first time since 2012. They had lost in the Super Regionals in 2015 and 2016.

Thoughts
The Noles have been playing quality baseball over the past few weeks with quality pitching and productive offense.
One of their achilles heels has been poor defense this season, but that has improved later in the season. Even in games where the defense has committed an error or more, good pitching or the offense has bailed them out.
We’ve been preaching it all season, but FSU can beat anyone when they get good pitching and don’t leave tons of runners stranded on the bases offensively while playing sound defense
These things may be obvious, but it’s something as simple as not turning the ball over in football.

The Noles are in a great position to make what could be the final run for Mike Martin to get that coveted College World Series title.
How fitting would it be to happen in a season where so many milestones have already been met?
