FSU baseball defeated Louisville Sunday to win back-to-back ACC championships for the first time in school history.

FSU baseball (43-17) found their late season magic for the second year in a row to win the ACC Baseball Championships.

The Noles entered the ACC Tournament as the No. 6 seed in the same pool as No. 3 seeded NC State who they beat. They also beat No. 2 seed Clemson before taking out No. 5 seed Louisville in the finals.

Itโ€™s another crowning achievement in the career of Mike Martin and the eighth ACC Baseball Tournament title under his reign.

The win allowed FSU to be a host team for the regional and now wait to hear if theyโ€™ll be a nationals seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Thoughts

Itโ€™s great to see the Noles to find that synergy needed in a time when they really needed. It has been a great season filled with a many bench marks.

FSU baseball helped Mike Martin become the all-timeโ€™s win leader and extended its streak of 40 wins or more to 41st consecutive year.

Now they have achieved back-to-back ACC Tournament Baseball championships for the first time in school history. Did I mention the Noles lost their best pitcher during the first game of the season due to injury.

What would be the story book ending you ask? Of course, it would be to bring Mike Martin his first NCAA Championship.

FSU has won 11 of its last 12 games with three wins over NC State whoโ€™ll be a regional shot site and Clemson whoโ€™ll also be a regional host site.
