FSU baseball continues to find the magic from last year and advance to the ACC Tournament Semifinals.

No. 6 seed FSU baseball continued its march to repeat as ACC Tournament Champions Friday for a 5-2 win behind a stellar performance from All-ACC pitcher Drew Parrish.

The lefty stifled the No. 3 seed NC State Wolfpack for a complete game win behind a career high 14 strikeouts while only allowing five hits.

The win secured Pool C for the Noles as they’ll move on to face No. 2 seed Clemson Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

FSU was able to jump out to a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first and added three more runs in the top of the 3rd. Early leads have been key for the Noles who are 21-2 win scoring in the first inning according to Seminoles.com.

We talked about FSU needing good pitching, defense and taking advantage of runners on the bases when hitting  to beat NC State.

The Noles only got two of three which luckily was enough as they committed three errors in the game.

FSU baseball banged out 10 hits with most of the damage being done by Cal Raleigh and Rhett Aplin who combined for six hits and four RBI’s.

What’s Next

The Noles have a tall task in the semifinals taking on a Clemson team that took two of three from them in the regular season.

Clemson defeated Miami 7-1 Thursday to punch their ticket to the semifinals. The Tigers are a good team but are definitely beatable if FSU bring its “A” game.

That consists of good pitching, solid defense and scoring runs, you know the usual suspects we talk about. FSU beat themselves in the two losses against Clemson earlier in the year with three errors in one of those games.

They left 10 runners on base in the other loss. Cole Sands will take the mound for the Noles who pitched well against Clemson earlier in the season.
