FSU football alum Jalen Ramsey gets a lot of his confidence and trash talk from his father Lamont Ramsey.

Jalen Ramsey is arguably the best cornerback in the NFL and usually he’ll tell you about it. Now we know why as Jalen and his father Lamont appeared on ESPN’s Highly Questionable.

It was a great exchange between the two and host Dan Le Batard over a variety of topics.

One of the best exchanges was Jalen and his father talking about how many times he got disciplined, otherwise known as the “work belt”.

Lamont Ramsey also gave his reasons why he believes Jalen could cover any wide receiver in NFL history and more.

Check out the entire exchange below:

This was great to see how much a father drives his son to be great, and at the same time still gives him motivation to be as such.

Jalen Ramsey has only been in the NFL two years and already received All-Pro recognition as one of the best cornerbacks in the league.

Ramsey along with former FSU  teammate Telvin Smith have largely be responsible for the emergence of the Jacksonville Jaguars culture change.

The Jaguars went from (3-13) in Ramsey’s rookie season to (10-6) his second season.

Their defense has become one of the best in the NFL and were minutes away from defeating Tom Brady to go to their first Super Bowl in 2017.

The great thing is Ramsey is only 23 years old and isn’t close to his athletic prime. In fact, the entire Jacksonville nucleus is young and built to be good for years to come.

It’s also great for FSU football as fans can point to Ramsey as a Nole with the title of best in the NFL at his position among rival fans who like to argue who’s “DBU”.
