FSU football head coach Willie Taggart has started changing the culture at FSU with his “Do Something” mantra.

FSU football is used to being ripped off and duplicated it seems. In fact, FSU is the reason “SEC” style football teams exist since the coaches in that conference saw the success Bobby Bowden was having and wished to emulate it.

The Noles have a new coach in Willie Taggart, but that doesn’t stop others from keeping their eyes on Tallahassee and what’s going down.

Taggart has created a vibe around this program that hasn’t been seen in quite some time. A strong recruiting close to the 2018 class after two months on the job.

The spring game with a record of 60,000 plus rabid FSU fans coupled with one of the top recruiting classes for 2019.

If someone is going to copy something they might as well copy the best right? That’s what NY Jets head coach Todd Bowles has done apparently.

Of course Willie Taggart uses his mantra:

“Blame no one….Make No Excuses…Do Something.”

Where Taggart Got It From

Thoughts

The mantra is awfully close to what Willie Taggart uses all the time. However, I’m not sure Bowles is actually biting Willie Taggart.

Bowles is somewhat of a mentee of former NFL head coach Bill Parcels who had a similar mantra that I’m sure he borrowed from someone before him.

Parcels said, “Blame no one…Expect nothing….Do something.”

However, the interesting thing is I’ve never seen Bowles use the mantra before this time but it’s quite possible he has.

We know Taggart got it from someone else, so nothing is too original nowadays. It’s just funny with the emergence of Taggart at FSU we see it in the NFL.
