Three-Point Shooting

Which leads us to this point. As we just said, 37 percent of FSU’s offensive shots came from beyond the arc while only making 35 percent of said shots.

However, that’s the highest percentage they’ve made since the 2013-2014 season where they connected at a 38 percent clip.

FSU had five players(Cofer, Angola, Savoy) take at least 110 three-point attempts or more on the season with three of them connecting at a 37 percent clip. The other two(CJ and M.J. Walker) came in at 34 and 35 percent respectively.

An incredible 48 percent of CJ Walker’s field goal attempts were three pointers. MJ Walker had 55 percent of his field goal attempts come from beyond the arc.

Both players are relatively young with CJ being a sophomore and MJ a freshman, but that’s simply too many three-point attempts at those percentages.

Leonard Hamilton needs to narrow the list of guys with the three-point green light down in the future to get those percentages up.
