FSU football continues to turn back the clock with new head coach Willie Taggart.

FSU football coach Willie Taggart said he wanted to get FSU back to where it used to be in its dominant run in the late 80’s and 90’s.

He said he wanted to bring back a style that essentially put fear in opposing teams hearts. An offense that was exciting and scored a lot of points like back in the day.

Also, a defense that was full of bad as*** and war daddies like when former defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews was in his prime.

Taggart is already bringing back the traditional designs in the end zones that haven’t been used since the 2007 season.

Now Taggart is even taking it farther back and bringing back the Spirit Spear that hasn’t been used since 1991. Friend of the site

Thoughts

FSU fans want it to be the real spirit spear or not one at all and I don’t blame them. An updated spirit spear would be beyond dope and add some distinction to the stadium. It is something unique that no other college football team to do.

I mean, what Seminole fans wouldn’t want to display their pride in the program right?

I think a lot of credit has to be given to Coach Taggart and the administration for how they’ve handled the transition from the old regime.

It’s like they realized the old regime never displayed their love for the program. Now, they want to do everything possible to bring that pride back along with winning a lot of football games and competing for national championships of course.
