FSU Football: Willie Taggart booster spring tour schedule released
By Jason Parker
The new FSU football head coach will be criss crossing the state over a nearly two month period meeting with Seminole supporters across Florida.
For coaches across college football, including those who have been fortunate enough to lead the FSU football program, your work is not just done when the spring or fall seasons come to an end. It’s a year long grind of fundraising and getting ready for the next season.
The first part is not something that a lot of coaches enjoy doing, but know it is fundamental to keeping their programs flowing in money for special projects like indoor practice bubbles and football only facilities – because without the second one, you are not a real program in the eyes of some coaches.
So, in that spirit, the new head man of the FSU football program will be hitting the road starting not long after the April 14th spring football game to meet with boosters and promote the Seminoles in 2018. Willie Taggart will be at many if not all of the 15 locations announced by Seminole Boosters this week for their annual spring tour.
"April 23rd – Jacksonville (Golf and Rally)April 25th – Panama City (Rally)May 1st – Ocala (Rally)May 2nd – Brevard County (Luncheon)West Palm Beach (Rally)May 3rd – Orlando (Rally)May 11th – Lakeland (Luncheon)May 18th – Jupiter (Golf and Reception)May 20th – Tampa Bay Area (Rally)May 21st – Tampa (Golf)June 9th – St. Petersburg (Chop at the Trop for Tampa Bay Rays game)June 11th – Sarasota / Manatee (Rally)June 12th – Atlanta (Rally)June 18th – Miami (Rally)June 19th – Fort Lauderdale (Rally)"
As in past years, assistant coaches and former players will be joining Taggart at some events while they will be the featured guest at others the FSU football head coach won’t be attending. More locations will be released in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to the Seminole Boosters website for more info.

One thing you will notice is that almost the entire state is covered this time. In past years, the tour concentrated on certain parts and ignored Seminoles fans in areas like South Florida. Taggart and the new regime get that Florida State is the State of Florida’s team and all Seminoles must be represented.
