Malcolm Lamar- 4-star defensive end

Malcolm Lamar is a four-star defensive end who’s ranked No. 266 nationally and the No. 9 strong side defensive end in the country.

Lamar is a former Oregon commit but has since de-committed since Willie Taggart became head coach at FSU.

Lamar visited FSU on December 15th.

He’s from the same high school as huge FSU wide receiver target Warren Thompson.

Did I mention FSU needs defensive ends something serious this recruiting class too?

It looks like Florida has been making a huge run after Lamar and he visited there last week. Florida has also gone in-home with him with FSU taking basically the entire defensive staff to his high school a week or so ago.

His teammate Warren Thompson committed to FSU recruiting earlier this week and both visited FSU unofficially this weekend which was a great sign.

That was the plan originally, but then word came Lamar wouldn’t be visiting before they both ultimately made it to Tallahassee.

Florida’s going hard here, but I expected Lamar to be in the class since he was previously committed to Willie Taggart at Oregon.
