FSU basketball delivered a great win for its home crowd against the rival Miami Hurricanes.

FSU basketball shot lights out and turned the Hurricanes into a tropical depression with a 103-94 win in front of a great home crowd Saturday afternoon.

The FSU fans turned the Tucker Center into a great atmosphere and helped will the ‘Noles to victory.

FSU basketball moves to (16-5, 5-4 ACC) and tied with North Carolina and NC State for fifth place in the ACC.

The ‘Noles have five games remaining against top three teams in the league along with four games against teams at the bottom of the conference.

Thoughts

It was great to see the Tucker Center rocking the way it was Saturday and it’s always great to give the Canes an L. It helps that FSU basketball has to be considered one of the better teams in the ACC the last few years too.

They are certainly more fun to watch compared to the teams under Leonard Hamilton that struggled to put the ball in the basket.

There’s no reason the ‘Noles shouldn’t be ranked when the polls are released Monday. FSU will have their next game Wednesday night as they travel to Winston-Salem, NC to play against Wake Forest who’s only won one ACC game all year.

A win there gives the ‘Noles good momentum going into another road game against Louisville next weekend. The Cardinals overcame a huge halftime deficit to defeat FSU basketball earlier this month, but it was more the ‘Noles giving them the game to them instead of them taking it.

FSU basketball has four home games remaining. They’ll host No. 2 Virginia on February 7th and No. 18 Clemson a week after that. The other two games will feature Pittsburgh and Boston College.
