Miami ended the season on a three game losing streak with no momentum unlike FSU.

FSU fans certainly don’t have a season to be happy about but it makes it a little better with how the season ended.

The ‘Noles won their last three regular season games, and their bowl game to finish with a better than .500 record for the 41st consecutive time.

One of those wins was a big win over rival Florida, and FSU’s other rival Miami lost their final three games of the season culminating their Orange Bowl loss to Wisconsin.

Miami fans talked smack all season about how they were “back” since they finally beat FSU(although it was a fluke) and made the ACC championship game for the first time.

However, they easily could have been (8-5) with losses to FSU and Georgia Tech as they were gifted both of those wins to be honest.

As we know Miami fans are delusional anyways, and it looks like their head coach is too. Welcome to a world where getting to 10 wins is satisfying.

Thoughts

Miami does have a strong 2018 recruiting class, but the majority of those players will not be impactful on the 2018 schedule. The real problem for them is who’s going to play quarterback for them next year?

Will it be redshirt freshman N’Koski Perry who Miami fans swore would start in 2017 as a true freshman without being an early enrollee?

Yep, that was delusional.

They wouldn’t have won the ACC Coastal if that were the case, and probably barely makes a bowl game since they had three gimme games like Arkansas State, Bethune Cookman and Toledo on the schedule.

Miami opens up their 2018 schedule with a neutral site game against LSU in Texas which could result in another loss for the Canes.

Never fear, they play Savannah State and Toledo again back-to-back after that. They also play FSU, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech on the road. That could be four losses right there including the LSU game.

Good luck with that Miami!
