Jacques Patrick is arguably the most improved player on the team, or it could just be he’s finally getting an opportunity to shine with Dalvin Cook gone to the NFL.
He’s finally running like the physical back we thought he could be and extended a couple of drives for FSU by toting would be tacklers for two or three yards.
Patrick finished the game with 61 yards on 16 carries. He also had two receptions for 26 yards on the day. Check out his two yard touchdown run in the video below:
Patrick runs through arm tackles, ankle tackles and all kinds of tackles to get into the end zone. It’s not clear if he’ll come back to FSU next year or pursue a career in the NFL.
One has to wonder how he’ll fit into Willie Taggart’s offense, but he could certainly be useful if he decides to wear the garnet and gold one more year.
