FSU football took its fifth straight win for the Florida Gators for the first time in school history.
It was a win the FSU football needed in the worst way, and the team played with arguably the best energy we’ve seen all year.
FSU defeated Florida 38-22 and sets itself up nicely to become bowl eligible next week against Louisiana-Monroe.
I guess that’s what rivalry games are supposed to bring out of a team huh? Jimbo Fisher continues to own Randy Shannon and Florida’s program is arguably at its lowest point in the last decade.
Gator fans are in disarray and FSU fans are taking solace in the fact Miami and Florida lost in the same weekend.
Not to mention what Miami had on the line despite being incredibly lucky all season.
Let’s check in with fans to see their thoughts following the ‘Noles big win.

So happy ESPN started using 36 bowls in a row with the hopes that they were going to be able to say FSU's bowl streak has been ended. Suckers

Thoughts
This was a huge win for FSU football and could give the program some much-needed momentum. Hear me out. FSU will likely win next week and Miami will likely lose against Clemson.
Florida has lost multiple recruits from its 2018 class and still hasn’t hired a coach yet. The ‘Noles could end the year on a three game winning streak including the bowl, and depending on coaching changes could get good momentum there too.
If Miami loses to Clemson and its bowl game they’ll end the year on a three game losing streak. The perception of each program could shift back to the ‘Noles being the place to be after the worse year in the Jimbo Fisher era.

Of course that’s all dependent upon Jimbo Fisher staying in Tallahassee. However, we’ve already told you how we feel about that in the link above.
