College Football Betting: Chop Chat’s top 5 bets of week 13

facebooktwitterreddit

The college football season is now in full swing, so let’s take a stab at trying to make some money.

We’re back with another addition of Chop Chat’s best college football bets. We had another off week in week 10 and finished in the red again with a record of 1-4.

This now puts our overall record at 21-28-6 after 11 weeks. It’s the third consecutive week  we have a losing record, but let’s see if we can’t fix that this week.

Recap

  • Georgia Tech -6.5 vs. Duke: The Blue Devils just gave up over 200 rushing yards to Army and have been gashed on the ground most of the year. Not a good recipe against the triple option, plus Duke’s offense is anemic. Loss, tied at halftime and got rolled in the second half.
  • Wake Forest -1.5 vs. NC State: Wake Forest has historically owned NC State in Winston-Salem and has been playing at a higher level than NC State as of late. NC State’s the ranked team who’s an underdog and yall know my rule. Win, went just as we thought it would.
  • Syracuse vs. Louisville OVER 73: Both teams have defenses that are sieves and offenses that can put points up in up tempo offenses. Just hope they score TD’s instead of FG’s. Loss, well…Louisville did their part scoring 56 with Syracuse only managing 10.
  • WVU -3 (buy hook) vs. Texas: Texas has played a lot of good teams tough and this will likely be another game like that. WVU at home with the better QB and offense. Loss, bad break here as WVU’s quarterback got hurt in the first quarter and their offense was anemic after that.
  • UAB +11 vs. Florida: Man, Florida is a dumpster fire and UAB has some legit weapons on offense in their QB and RB. Has Florida given up on the season at 3-6? Gimme double-digit points. Loss, Florida actually showed for a chance and UAB wasn’t as good as we thought.

This Week’s Bets

  • Alabama -4 (buy hook) vs. Auburn: I watched Auburn struggle against Clemson earlier in the year…yes Stidham has gotten better..but Alabama’s offense is better than Clemson’s with a just as good defense.
  • FSU vs. UF UNDER 44.5: Both offenses are near 100 in S&P and both have decent defenses.
  • FSU -3 vs. UF: FSU the better overall team and Florida’s offenses have scored ONE touchdown against Charles Kelly since 2014.
  • Wake Forest vs. Duke UNDER 55-Both teams like to run the ball all games the last three years have all been under this total by quite a bit.
  • UNC +16 vs. NC State: UNC seems to found some offense the last few games and NC State’s defense has regressed from last season. Rivalry game…that’s a lot of points.
