Boston College

I don’t even want to talk about this game, but I have to since it’s on the schedule. It’s a game that this FSU team quit in mid-way through the second quarter.

FSU allowed Boston College to convert (6-16) third downs (37.5 percent) during the game, and allowed one play (12) over 10 yards on third down.  In other words, 16.6 percent of their third down conversions went for 10 yards or more.

Boston College had 48 yards on 16 plays averaging 3 yards per play and averaged 5.56 yards to go on third downs for the game.

The Eagles are averaging 4.77 ypp going into week 10. They are also converting third downs at a 36.25 percent clip including the FSU football game.

So they slightly outperformed their third down conversion season average against FSU. The only problem is Boston College was up so big score wise that they were just running the ball and the clock a great deal of the second half.
