FSU football gave fans something to feel good about Saturday’s win as several former Noles showed out in the NFL this past weekend.

You don’t often see “must win” games in October but with the season hanging in the balance it was as close as you can get, but FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher relied on his play makers to be explosive and get the offense going when they really needed it. Florida States’s defense also played up to it’s potential allowing its lowest point total all season.

After the current Seminoles took care of business on Saturday, several former Noles continued making a name for themselves at the pro level on Sunday. Jalen Ramsey is showing that he can consistently dominate against NFL receivers while running back Chris Thompson is sustaining his early season production and proving he is one of the most explosive players in the league.

Jameis Winston

Winston wasn’t able to finish the game as the former FSU star left the game in the first quarter with a shoulder injury after a hit from Chandler Jones of the Arizona Cardinals. The injury was to his throwing shoulder, but Winston isn’t expected to miss any more games. He finished with 61 yards completing 5 of 10 passes.

Jalen Ramsey

Jalen Ramsey has evolved into one of the top corners in the NFL. Many experts thought he wouldnt be able to cover quicker receivers because of his size. So far in his career he has been able to effectively shut down both outside and slot receivers while also frustrating them with his large frame.

He finished the Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams with three tackles, but as is the case with great corners quarterbacks tend to stay away from him.

Chris Thompson

Chris Thompson has absolutely been one of the most reliable big play option in the NFL so far this year. He is currently averaging 19 yards per reception and five yards per carry. Sunday, he had four catches for 105 yards and another 33 yards on the ground as Washington defeated San Francisco 26 – 24.
