FSU football suffered its second loss in as many games on Saturday against NC State.

It was a game FSU football was expected to win as they were double-digit favorites by oddsmakers. However, for the second time in a year the ‘Noles have lost to a North Carolina based team at home when that was the case.

NC State’s defense played well, harassing FSU true freshman quarterback James Blackman multiple times during the day.

NC State’s Bradley Chubb was responsible for a lot of the havoc as he touched Blackman several times. A few of the hits were late hits that went uncalled as typical in the game with that ACC crew.

Credit has to be given to Chubb for his play in the game, but his sportsmanship was lacking throughout the game. It all came to a head when he went out on the field and spit on the FSU logo as the game ended.

Ironically, the commentators were praising him during the actual act. Check out the video below:

FSU fans were none to pleased to see and/or hear about the act. Their response on social media is below.

Listen, I have no quarrels with a player celebrating after dominate performances. I actually agree with you can’t say anything about a guy celebrating if you can’t stop him sort of thing.

However, once the game is over all of that stuff should be a done deal in my opinion. I’ve coached teams and I condone trash talk as long as it’s in good taste.

However, if Chubb were my player there would be consequences for this act. Spitting is just way over the line and uncalled for.

I wonder if anyone asks Dave Doeren about it or if it ever gets brought up? I’d be curious to hear his response. I sense that’s he’d probably smirk and say FSU deserved it, but I’ll wait to see what the outcome is if any.
