Fans react to Dalvin Cook breaking Adrian Peterson’s rushing record
By Kelvin Hunt
Former FSU running back Dalvin Cook shined in his NFL debut against the New Orleans Saints.
I tried to tell everyone Dalvin Cook was special along with all the other FSU football fans who watched him dominate the past three years.
We illustrated why he should have been the first running back drafted, yet Cook slid to the second round for whatever inexplicable reason you want to name.
However, in typical Dalvin Cook fashion, he rose to the occasion when the lights are the brightest. He made his official NFL debut Monday night with the Minnesota Vikings and set their rookie rushing record in his debut.
Did I mention he did it in front of Adrian Peterson, the guy who held the record and is now with the New Orleans Saints?

Those people looking at Cook’s combine numbers and basing an opinion from ONE day are uninformed.
It looks as if you could have put a garnet and gold jersey on Cook Monday night. It was vintage Cook. He ran tough between the tackles, breaking tackles and turning the corner for yards only how Dalvin Cook can.
He finished the game with 127 rushing yards on 22 carries (5.8 ypc) and three receptions for 10 yards on five targets.
It was a fitting performance considering how Cook was replacing in Minnesota in Adrian Peterson. A quick reminder of how fast the game can pass you by as Peterson only had 18 yards on six carries in his Saints debut.
