Derwin James is the No. 1 player in the country according to multiple outlets, and certainly among the most talented. James was injured during the second game of the season in 2016 and missed the rest of the year recovering from surgery for a torn meniscus.

As a freshman, James as named All-American by multiple media outlets and one of the best freshmen in the nation.

He finished that season with 91 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. James stated he learned a lot by sitting out last season, absorbing information while watching the games taking place.

The ‘Noles will use him coverage, rushing the quarterback while also coming downhill and laying the wood against the run.

He’ll be poised to have another monster season which should put him among the top five players to be selected in the 2018 NFL Draft.
