Hamsah Nasrildeen

Hamsah Nasrildeen saved the day when he decided to flip from South Carolina to FSU football near the end of the recruiting cycle. The ‘Noles needed a big time safety in the 2017 class and he helped fill that void.

Nasrildeen was a four-star recruit who chose FSU over a host of other big time programs. He’s not Derwin James, but is the closest thing on the team to him athletically and physically.

Because the FSU football defense plays a lot of nickel defense, most of the young defensive backs get on the field early as true freshmen and Nasrildeen should be no different.

He’s most likely the player who will move into Derwin James position when he bolts to the NFL after this season, so FSU will look to get him as much experience as possible.

I doubt it will happen, but Nasrildeen is versatile enough to play linebacker as well. He’ll be one of the most important parts of the defense over the next two seasons.
