FSU football is just weeks away from their much anticipated opener against Alabama – and this video is going to make you wish it was being played tonight.

Three weeks from tonight, FSU football will be taking the field inside the brand new Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta for a football game that has been talked about since before the 2016 season even game to an end. The Seminoles will face Alabama in a battle of top three ranked teams in what has been maybe the most hyped regular season game in recent memory.

With five of the last eight national championships, dominance in the SEC and ACC for much of that span, two of the biggest name coaches in the game and a history that we don’t have enough time to talk about here, both schools bring a stacked resume into what some are saying is the biggest opening game of all time.

While there are some who worry the game may be getting over hyped and might not live up to its potential, those people are few and far between – because this game is going to be epic from start to finish. If you needed more proof of that, the folks hosting the game hooked fans of FSU football and the Crimson Tide up this weekend.

The Chick-Fil-A Bowl, who will be hosting the kickoff game, put out this hype video on Thursday labeling the game as the “Greatest Opener of All Time”:

Well, if you didn’t have goosebumps before thinking about this game, you might have them now – and they will likely stay with you until September 2nd.

FSU football will be looking to even their series record with Alabama with a win in the opener. The Crimson Tide won the first meeting in 1965 while the teams tied in 1967 and Alabama won their next meeting by one point in 1974. The Seminoles got their first win in their last meeting back in 2007 – during Nick Saban’s first season as head coach and Jimbo Fisher’s first year as FSU’s offensive coordinator.
