FSU Rivals: Miami super fan posts delusional tweets about recruiting
By Jason Parker
FSU fans have been used to hearing things come out of the mouth of long time UM super fan Luther Campbell – now, he’s talking about what recruits want.
It really must not be fun to be a fan of the Miami Hurricanes over the last seven seasons. In addition to being on their fourth coach this decade (Randy Shannon, Al Golden, Larry Scott and now Mark Richt), the Canes have lost all seven meetings with FSU while not being able to even win the ACC Coastal Division despite all the talk and “talent” that is in Coral Gables.
But, as we all know, that doesn’t stop fans of what used to be “The U” from acting like they are still one of the top programs in the country – while bragging about national titles that were last won when the current freshman class was still being potty trained.
Front and center in the latest round of blah blah blah is notorious super fan Luther Campbell. Yes, the same Uncle Luke who has been shut down in Twitter beefs with FSU assistant coach Tim Brewster has now taken to speaking about how the University of Miami is “winning” the recruiting game despite having horrible facilities:
Grammer and spelling aside, this might be the craziest thing that the former2 Live Crew frontman has said in a while. I will not argue the fact that the University of Miami has churned out some great players with subpar facilities – but to say that kids don’t care about “glossy” facilities is the dumbest thing out there.
Facilities like that are the reason that schools like Texas can bring in top classes with under .500 records on the field. I’m not saying it should be that way, but it’s what college football is now and why schools, including FSU have to always keep up with the Jones’.

Plus…lets all be honest for a second. Should a man who was investigated for paying players at Miami really be talking at all about recruiting players?
