Protecting the QB

The FSU offense was among the worst in the country in allowing sacks to opposing defenses in 2016. The ‘Noles were ranked No. 108 with 36 sacks allowed on the season.

Again, they did face arguably the toughest slate of defenses in the country. However, a lot of those sacks were self-inflicted wounds.

Deondre Francois would hold the ball too long trying to process defenses and find open receivers. Other times, the offensive line or running backs would simply blow a blocking assignment and Francois would get destroyed with a big hit.

The offensive line could be more talented in 2017 than last year and Francois should be improved with a year of experience under his belt.

I would expect this number to go down quite a bit this year.
