No. 3 – There are more Florida fans and grads around the state of Florida than Miami

Whether you are in Pensacola, Orlando or even across the street from the campus of the University of Miami, you see the God awful combination of orange and blue that just makes you want to vomit.

Because Florida was the men’s school for years as well as being the public university of choice for decades, the roots of these people are dug into the entire Sunshine State. While those in South Florida see plenty of fans and alumni of the Hurricanes, the rest of the state only has to deal with a handful of people who throw up the “U”.

At the same time, the University of Miami is filled with students who came from outside the area and – quite frankly – don’t give a damn about sports and are just trying to get to the beach during the weekend because they’re from New Jersey. They tend to “hate” FSU because that’s what someone told them.

Florida fans and alumni, meanwhile, continuous run their mouths about the school – not realizing that they aren’t the “Stanford of the East” or Harvard of the South, but a public school in the Sunshine State.

The amount of fans running their mouth gets even worse when they do something good…which brings us to a certain game.
