Ranking Justification

The Duke Blue Devils finished the 2016 with a 4-8 record, but things could have been much different.

David Cutcliffe and company had two losses by three points against Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. They were in position to be Louisville on the road before giving the game away in the final minutes.

Cutcliffe found a way to beat No. 17 North Carolina after losing three straight in the middle of the season.

He’s a coach that gets the most out of his players who’re often outmatched talent wise. However, losses to Wake Forest and Virginia look awfully bad for the two-time ACC Coach of the Year.
