Ranking Justification

We should put an asterisk beside Dave Clawson and Wake Forest because of the Wake leaks scandal. Basically, a former player gave inside information like game plans to some opposing teams.

Despite that, Clawson and Wake Forest opened the 2016 season winning four of its first five games.

They played FSU and Louisville tough in losses where they were competitive most of the game despite huge talent gaps.

Wake Forest finished the season with a win over No. 24 ranked Temple in the Military Bowl.
