Power Ranking All 14 ACC Coaches: Jimbo Fisher and the rest
By Kelvin Hunt
Jimbo Fisher-FSU
Record at School
78-17 (82.1 percent)
Ranking Justification
Some people may have put Swinney in the No. 1 spot coming off back-to-back national championship games.
However, the difference between the two is Jimbo Fisher has been a bit more consistent and has a higher winning percentage overall. Both have won national titles and multiple ACC championships.
However, FSU was in position to beat Clemson the last two seasons despite Clemson playing with the best quarterback in college football. Without Deshaun Watson, Clemson likely loses to FSU the last two years, and that speaks volumes regarding the recruiting prowess of Fisher and ability to gameplan.
He’s had the No. 1 recruiting class in the ACC every year he has been head coach, and has only finished outside the top 10 once in seven seasons.

Many felt the ‘Noles underachieved in 2016, but that team featured a lot of inexperienced players. The hype arrived too early, but FSU is expected to compete for a national title in 2017.
