Ranking College Football Bowl Games Played in Florida

No. 8 – St. Petersburg Bowl (Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg) Established 2008
It’s bad enough that you have to play baseball games inside a stadium that was pretty cool when it was built…over three decades ago during the first of many failed attempts to get a baseball team before the Devil Rays showed up…but trying to play a football game inside a baseball diamond is just not a good look for anyone.
No. 7 – Cure Bowl (Camping World Stadium, Orlando) Established 2015
Pretty much the saving grace for this game – aside from being for a good cause – is the fact that smart people decided to move it from being played on the campus of UCF to what is now Camping World Stadium. The move gave the game some credibility – which was taken away when the first game featured two teams with identical 6-7 losing records at the end of the game.
No. 6 – Camping World Bowl (Camping World Stadium, Orlando) Established 1990
This game has been nomadic over its existence and changed its named on more than one occasion, starting off as the Blockbuster Bowl in 1990 inside what is now Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens featuring Florida State and Penn State. All time, the Seminoles are 3-0 in the variety of forms this game has taken.
