FSU football now has all four non-conference games scheduled for the 2018 season – and confirmed they will be playing on Labor Day again.

For the past few weeks, fans of FSU football have been able to get an advanced look at what the 2018 schedule will bring – even months before the 2017 season kicks off. Recent additions to the schedule included a rematch of the 2013 Orange Bowl against Northern Illinois – while a reported working holiday was in the cards against an ACC foe.

On Thursday, all of that was confirmed when the school announced they will indeed open the season at home on Labor Day night against Virginia Tech. In addition, the Seminoles announced the fourth and final team they will play out of conference next season:

The confirmation of the opener between Va. Tech and FSU football continues the team’s recent streak of playing quality games to kick things off. Over the past five seasons, the Seminoles have opened with a game at Pittsburgh to go along with neutral site contests against Oklahoma State and Ole Miss – with games against Alabama, Boise State and West Virginia schedule to open the next four years along with the Hokies.

The 2018 schedule might be one of the toughest in recent program history when you open with the Hokies, have a game at in-state rival Miami along with contests against ACC foes Clemson, Louisville and N.C. State (the last two being on the road) and finish off at Notre Dame and against Florida in the final three weekends.

The Seminoles will be facing an FCS foe yet again, hosting Samford just five days after Virginia Tech. It will be the third time in history the two teams have met – with the ‘Noles dominating the Bulldogs 59-6 in Jimbo Fisher’s first ever game as head coach to open the 2010 season.
