FSU football standout DeMarcus Walker made a name for himself in Tallahassee. Now, he looks to guide the next generation with advice.

FSU football is known for a lot of things. There’s winning consistency, great athletes, the traditions, beautiful women and the trash talk.

If you haven’t seen the ESPN 30 for 30 called “Rand University” I highly recommend it. In the film, one time FSU player Randy Moss said the one thing he learned how to do during his short time in Tallahassee was talk trash.

That hasn’t changed over the last two decades, and All-American defensive end DeMarcus Walker was quick to give some advice to the young up and comers on Twitter Friday:

Listen To Walker

Walker wasn’t a big trash talker on the field as he let his play do most of the talking for him. However, he’s right in that Jimbo Fisher brings in a top flight recruiting class every year and it’s easy for talented players to get lost in the shuffle.

Walker is someone the recruits should listen to though. He’ll be drafted fairly early in the 2017 NFL Draft and had an outstanding career at FSU. He was in Tallahassee this week for FSU’s Pro Day in which he had an excellent performance.

Some Of Walker’s Accomplishments:

  • 2013 National Champion
  • First Team All-American
  • First Team All-ACC
  • 2016 ACC Defensive Player of the Year
  • Third On FSU All-Time Sack List

FSU football has seven commitments in the 2018 recruiting class that’s currently ranked No. 7 overall. It’s early but the ‘Noles are in prime position for a couple of blue chip players at the moment.
