The NCAA Tournament is now down to the Final Four. Florida Gator fans blame their Elite 8 loss on the refs.

It’s always a good day when the Florida Gators or Miami Hurricanes to an L. That’s what happened Sunday when the Florida Gators lost their Elite 8 game against the underdog South Carolina Gamecocks.

The Gators went into halftime with a seven point lead, but saw that evaporate by the 10 minute mark of the second half.

The reason was because Florida was settling for long jump shots and South Carolina was attacking the basket inside.

However, the refs were target of Gators fans more than Florida’s poor play.

Why Florida Lost

I had to throw that last one in there as that’s quality video. Admittedly the refs did call a ton of fouls in the game, but 16 turnovers didn’t do Florida any favors. Also, 26 three point attempts and only making seven didn’t help, or shooting 41.7 percent from the floor for the game.

Florida’s defense allowed South Carolina to shoot 49.1 percent from the floor, and the Gamecocks won the overall rebounding battle by three while only turning the ball over 11 times.
