No. 5 – Trent Forrest Behind the Head Assist

Do you guys remember that pass freshmen point guard Trent Forrest made during the ACC – Big Ten Challenge, versus Minnesota? If you don’t, allow me to jog your memory.

That play was arguably FSU’s prettiest highlight of the season, and helped the team win their first ACC – Big Ten challange matchup since 2007-08.

Forrest’s bit of wizardry is hopefully a sign for things to come, as the Seminoles are going to lose a lot from this team. They’re going to need the young guys to take a step forward over the offseason if they want a chance at making a return trip to the tourney next season.

No. 4 – Beating Florida

For as much garbage Florida fans want to talk after last weekend (and if we’re being totally honest, they sort of deserve to), I hope they don’t forget what happened when the two teams met this season.

FSU basketball was 10-1 and about to face their real first test of the season. The Gators had lost multiple times by then, but had also played the hardest schedule in the country. FSU were favored, but not by much.

So what ended up happening?

An 83-78 win from the good guys of course. The victory marked Florida State’s third win in a row on the hardwood over their rival. (Should we bring up the fact that it’s been four in a row in the football series between the two schools? Let me not, I don’t want to hurt feelings.)

Dwayne Bacon led the way with 24 points for the Seminoles, while Terrance Mann had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
