Who’s Really Serious About Playing

We joke all the time that Jimbo Fisher needs to do a better job of “trimming the fat” off the roster. In other words, process players that are holding scholarships but not contributing to the team for whatever reason.

It could be the player is frequently injured or simply not developing at the rate they thought he would. Sometimes they are players that are just happy to be on the team but not working to get better.

These orange jerseys will be a way to see who really wants to play. If a player is consistently having to wear an orange jersey, one has to start questioning just how bad he wants to play football.

Any player worth they weight will want to prove that they are serious about contributing to the team. Listen, we all have “off” days. Some day’s it’s crazy hot, life happens or you may have had a tough test earlier in the day.

However, if a player is consistently not able to shed that orange jersey then that tells you he’s not serious about playing football.
