No. 1 – Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach)

Last year, college football got back into the business of hosting games at NASCAR tracks when Virginia Tech and Tennessee met in Bristol, TN for a game that – as much as I was a skeptic about it – was considered by many to be a universal success. Since then, talks have continued about different tracks around the country hosting similar games.

With the track being done with NASCAR obligations after July 4th weekend, scheduling wouldn’t be a problem – as wouldn’t it be a problem to convince northern schools to come spend time near the beach and in the recruiting ground of Florida (are you listening, Jim Harbaugh). Maybe have the ‘Noles take on USF or UCF inside the track or welcome a SEC foe like South Carolina or Georgia down.
