Final Thoughts

FSU recruiting is still ranked No. 5 in the  nation with seven commitments, and No. 2 in the ACC after the loss of Watkins from the class.

It’s ironic that Watkins is leaving Florida to goto Texas when there are several Texas receivers hearing from FSU recruiting.

Of course, FSU has made headway into Texas the past couple of years with four-star linebacker Dontavious Jackson in 2016 and five-star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson in 2017.

There are plenty of options to replace Watkins in the class, so the loss isn’t huge and it’s still early. The ‘Noles added two new additions to the class last weekend during one of its junior days, and there a couple of players that could commit to FSU relatively soon.
