It’s important for FSU to get these defensive end commitments early as their will likely be some attrition after 2017.

Junior Josh Sweat could declare for the NFL Draft and seniors Jacob Pugh and Keith Bryant will have exhausted eligibility. That would leave four defensive ends on the roster.

It’s likely the ‘Noles will take another defensive end in this class. FSU currently has eight commitments in the 2018 class that’s ranked No. 5 nationally and No. 2 in the ACC behind Miami.

Miami has 11 commits for the 2018 cycle, so them being No.1 in the ACC is more quantity than quality which has become the norm lately for the Canes.
