Conclusion
There’s no doubt Alabama is a talented team, but they have not faced a team like Clemson all season. Alabama hasn’t faced a quarterback like Deshaun Watson all season either.
The Tigers offense averaged 6.47 yards per play the last time these two teams matched up. That was without star receiver Mike Williams who will play in the NFL.
The difference in last year’s game was Alabama’s ability to run AND pass the ball. Former FSU quarterback Jacob Coker threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns against them last year.
That will not have that dimension on Monday night. The only concern is Watson’s penchant to turn the ball over this season. Alabama’s offensive inefficiencies have been covered by their ability to score on special teams and defense.
If the Tigers doesn’t turn the ball over. I think they could win big against Alabama.
