NCAA football is back ladies and gentlemen and there is an awesome slate of games this weekend. We take a look at the top 5 bets to make.

There are a ton of NCAA football games to choose from this weekend. The lines may be inflated a little because teams don’t quite have their identity yet, but we’re going to take a stab at it.

At this point, we’re going off projections on who we think will be good based off returning players, experience, etc.

So let’s not waste any time and get right to it.

Bet # 1

Clemson* -8 -110 vs. Auburn

This line has moved from -7 with Clemson being one of the favorites to compete for a National Championship. Auburn is the home team, otherwise Clemson would be a double-digit favorite.

I just don’t see how Auburn’s offense is going to keep pace with Clemson’s offense while breaking in a new QB. Clemson does have a few questions on defense, but Clemson should cover this spread.

Bet #2

FSU -4.5 -115 vs. Ole Miss

The line opened at -7 earlier in the year and was bet down with FSU breaking in a new quarterback in Deondre Francois. Ole Miss does have Chad Kelly at QB who can fill the stat sheet up, but the FSU defense should be filthy and is built to combat spread attacks.

As long as FSU doesn’t turn the ball over, they should win comfortably.

Bet #3

FSU vs. Ole Miss Under 57.5

FSU’s tempo was extremely slow in 2015 while their defense only gave up 25 points or more once all season. Ole Miss will score, but probably won’t go north of 24 points.

FSU will be breaking in a new redshirt freshman QB, and will likely rely on the running game early.

Bet #4

LSU -10 -115 vs. Wisconsin

I usually don’t like to lay double-digit points in college football, but some key indicators point to LSU taking Wisconsin to the woodshed.

Wisconsin has a new defensive coordinator as their former defensive coordinator is at LSU!  LSU is the more talented team and brings back almost all its defensive line.

It’s a little scary with Brandon Harris as the LSU QB, but they have Leonard Fournette. Also, they have some talented receivers that could expose a Wisconsin secondary that’s replacing three starters.

Bet #5

Tulane +17 -115 vs. Wake Forest

Tulane had an OK defense last season and will look to run the ball quite a bit. Wake Forest will be rotating quarterbacks and is no offensive juggernaut to begin with…Wake’s defense isn’t horrible either. I think this one will be low scoring. That’s a lot of points to cover for WF.
