The final play against Notre Dame in 2014
What a game. A matchup between two top five ranked teams that had history between them when it came to big games.
FSU football trailed at the half as they did many times during the 2014 season only to come back and take the lead for the first time with just over six minutes to go in the game.
Notre Dame took the ball on their final drive all the way down to the two yard line. A drive that included a ridiculous fourth and 18 first down conversion with just over a minute left in the game.
Notre Dame ran a pick play to score a touchdown by the referees caught it and called a penalty for pass interference.
The final play of the game is below and the fans rejoiced knowing they had survived another one that season.
Normally you’d feel pretty comfortable on the final play knowing they needed a touchdown from that distance. However, Everett Golson was pulling stuff out of his tail that night so you just didn’t know until it was actually over and the crowd went crazy.
