One FSU football fan put together a new look for the Seminoles’ helmets that is not that different from the alternate one they have, but still intriguing.

Before the 2014 season, Florida State ignited a firestorm of anger from some fans and alumni with a new logo and some new uniforms for almost every sport. The FSU football team got the most noticeable change, as the iconic helmets from the previous three decades gave way to a skinnier spear on the side.

In 2015, the Seminoles wore garnet helmets – part of the new uniform options – for the first time when they played Chattanooga, just the second time in nearly a half century they didn’t wear gold helmets for a game.

The new look has given fans a chance to think about some possibly new looks that FSU football should try out. One fan took last year’s helmet and modified it with a new look that some may like while others will despise:

I’ll admit that I was one of the people who wasn’t a huge fan of the new look starting in 2014 because of being used to the uniforms and helmet that were the best in college football during my time as a fan, student and later alumni. That being said, I’m not all that opposed to this design. I like the big spear and the garnet and gold part. FSU fans wouldn’t be so upset with this making an appearance on the field once every couple seasons.
