FSU Football: Top 15 Offensive Players FSU Will Face in 2016
By Kelvin Hunt
Flowers will be entering his junior season with the Bulls after making the transition to full-time starter in 2015.
It’s probably not fair to look at his stats last season against FSU football as that was only his second start of the season. The dual threat quarterback had a rough go at it that day, but he got progressively better as the season went on.
He finished the season with 22 touchdowns against eight interceptions and was just nine yards shy of 1,000 rushing yards on the season.
Flowers is similar to Lamar Jackson from Louisville but not quite on that level. His run game was held in check last season against the ‘Noles and he’ll need to get that going if he wants to have any success in the passing game.
He’s still erratic on the short and medium throws and gives up a lot of sacks (20 last season) for a mobile quarterback.
FSU football will get Flowers in the fourth game of the season when they travel to Tampa on September 24.
