Bars and Nightlife

As anyone who has ever attended FSU or spent some time there can testify to, the nightlife in the city and around campus is legendary. There is a real good reason why FSU has been consistently ranked as one of the top party schools in the country and will continue to be on the running for years to come.

If you are still able to hang with the college crowd (or think you can until you feel it the next morning), head to the Tennessee Strip and hits up institutions like Bullwinkle’s and Poor Paul’s, located next door to each other and looking the same as when they opened decades ago. Down the street, new locations such as Public House and Encore own the spots that formerly housed one of the city’s institutions, Floyd’s Music Store. Don’t worry, old school folks…Yianni’s and Ken’s are still alive and kicking.

On the east border of campus, Potbelly’s and The Painted Lady have plenty of happy hour fun that will make you have a good time. If you want to be a little bit more on the grown up side but still feel young at heart, head over to Clyde’s and Costello’s. One of the newest hot spots that is all the rage is Madison Social, where you can truly eat, drunk and be merry.

If your taste are even more refined and you don’t want to party until five in the morning, check out places like The Wine Barn and Finnegan’s Wake for some more grown up fun.
